Let's Stop Drifting. Come Write.
An invitation to join The Written Hour — the weekly writing ritual for people in transition.
First session is free. Join us Monday at 12pm EST → https://luma.com/b5tsi4xt
I’ve seen what reflective writing can do to a person’s life. The clarity it creates. The courage it builds. The way it slowly rewires the stories we tell ourselves.
And I’ve seen something else too:
Writing becomes even more powerful when it happens in community.
That’s what The Written Hour is about.
I’m building this space with you so that we can witness change in real time — in ourselves and in each other. A place where we pause long enough to see what’s actually happening inside our lives.
Because most of the time, the thoughts shaping our decisions are invisible to us. They pass through our minds as noise.
But when you write them down, something interesting happens.
You start to see the patterns.
You notice the assumptions.
You recognize the story you’ve been telling yourself.
And once you see the story, you can change it.
You can edit it.
Refine it.
Rewrite it.
That’s where real agency begins.
The research is clear that community is one of the strongest predictors of longevity. The Blue Zones have shown this again and again. And philosophers have long argued that we are the architects of our own reality.
So let’s put those two ideas together.
Community, and the deliberate shaping of our lives.
Let’s put pen to paper and see what emerges.
Tomorrow’s Written Hour
The prompt for our first session comes from a piece I wrote recently about agency and drift.
So many of us feel like we’re drifting right now.
Especially during periods of transition — our twenties, career changes, moving somewhere new, ending relationships, starting over.
There are so many decisions to make.
And the hardest question underneath all of them is:
How do I know I’m choosing the right one?
So this week we’ll write about the tension between waiting and choosing.
Prompt
Where in your life are you waiting to feel ready before you begin?
Write about a place where you’ve been hesitating, drifting, or postponing a decision.
What might change if you chose a direction anyway — even without certainty?
How the Hour Works
• 40 minutes of uninterrupted writing
• 20 minutes of optional reflection in small groups
That’s it.
You’re welcome to share, but you never have to.
And I know 40 minutes of writing sounds like a lot.
But trust me it flies by.
When
Monday, March 8
12pm EST
Important
The first Written Hour is free to join.
After this session, the weekly gatherings will be available to paid subscribers, with one open session each month for everyone.
So if you’re curious about reflective writing, this is the perfect moment to try it.
There is so much noise in the world right now.
Not enough signal.
Let’s create some together.
